Sample Schedule
A Glimpse Into the Training Week
This sample schedule offers an impression of how an Intermediate training week may be structured. The final schedule may vary and can include additional classes, different faculty, rehearsals, coaching sessions, workshops or adjusted timings depending on artistic programming, level placement, and studio availability.
Daily Technique
Each day begins with focused ballet training followed by contemporary or jazz technique. Men’s technique and pointe technique are integrated within the ballet classes where appropriate.
Classical Variations & Repertoire
Classical work may be divided into separate blocks for female dancers, male dancers, pas de deux work or full repertoire sections where dancers train together.
Contemporary Technique & Repertoire
Dancers may study existing works by established choreographers or receive the unique opportunity to take part in a new creation made especially for them.
Performance Preparation
In week two, additional rehearsals and coaching moments are scheduled for all two-week participants as they prepare for the final theater presentation.
Wednesday Is Intentionally Structured as a Lighter Training Day
Midweek programming is designed to support recovery, longevity and artistic sustainability. Alongside studio training, dancers may participate in curated workshops focused on nutrition, injury prevention, mental performance, conditioning and dancer well-being.

Register With
Intention
The ArtéBallét Intermediate Program is designed for dedicated vocational and recreational dancers with previous ballet training who wish to strengthen their technique, deepen their artistry, and grow within a supportive international environment.
Submit Your Registration
Dancers complete the online registration form and share basic information about their age, training background, and current experience level. No formal audition is required for the Intermediate Program.
Placement Review
The ArtéBallét team carefully reviews each registration to help create balanced groups and ensure that dancers enter a class environment that feels both challenging and supportive.
Confirmation & Enrollment
Once registration has been completed, dancers receive confirmation and enrollment details by email. Because the program works with intentionally limited group sizes, places are confirmed only after the required registration and payment steps have been completed.
Limited Places.
Early Registration Advised.
Due to our intentionally low faculty-to-student ratio, places at ArtéBallét are strictly limited. Once maximum capacity is reached, registration may close before the official deadline.
What We Look For
The Intermediate Program is intended for dancers with a basic understanding of ballet technique and terminology, supported by previous intermediate-level training. Dancers should be able to follow an intermediate ballet class independently and arrive with focus, curiosity, and a genuine desire to grow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is selection required for the Intermediate Program?
No. The Intermediate Program does not require a formal audition. Dancers register directly, and the ArtéBallét team reviews each registration to support appropriate placement and balanced group levels.
What level is expected?
The Intermediate Program is open to intermediate vocational students as well as dedicated recreational dancers. Participants should have a basic understanding of ballet technique and terminology, supported by at least three years of intermediate-level training.
Can younger dancers join?
The Intermediate Program is generally suited to dancers aged approximately 12 and above. Age is indicative; readiness is considered based on training experience, technical level, and the ability to follow an intermediate class independently.
What registration materials are required?
Intermediate dancers are not required to submit audition photos or video materials. During registration, dancers provide basic information about their age, training background, and experience level.
Is pointe work required?
No. Pointe work is not required for the Intermediate Program. Pointe may be included only in designated classes for dancers with sufficient previous pointe experience. Faculty may advise against pointe use if it is considered unsafe or not appropriate for a dancer’s development.
Can I register for one week only?
Yes. Dancers may register for three days, one week, or two weeks, depending on availability. Two-week participants receive the fullest ArtéBallét experience and may take part in the culminating theater presentation.
Will I perform during the program?
Two-week participants may take part in the culminating theater presentation in Amsterdam. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory. Performance opportunities depend on the selected program option and the final artistic structure of the intensive.
How large are the Intermediate groups?
Intermediate groups are intentionally small to preserve the personal attention that defines ArtéBallét. We generally welcome approximately 10 to 14 dancers per group, ocassionally 15, allowing faculty to offer detailed guidance throughout the program.
Can my placement or group be adjusted?
Yes. Final placement may be adjusted by the Artistic Director or faculty if another group better supports the dancer’s training, safety, confidence, and artistic development.
How do I secure my place after registering?
A place is secured only once the required registration and payment steps have been completed. Because places are limited, early registration is strongly advised.
What happens if the program sells out before the deadline?
Because group sizes are intentionally limited, registration may close before the official deadline once capacity has been reached. Dancers are encouraged to complete registration promptly to avoid losing their place.
Where can I find tuition and payment options?
Tuition, package details, installment options, and additional fees are available on the Tuition & Fees page. All selected program fees and optional add-ons are also summarized within the registration form before submission.
Are private coaching, photoshoots, and physiotherapy included?
Private coaching, professional photoshoots, and physiotherapy appointments may be available by appointment, depending on package type and availability. Some services are included in selected packages, while others can be booked as add-ons.
Is housing provided?
ArtéBallét does not provide housing. Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation in Amsterdam. We recommend securing accommodation early, especially during the summer period.
