Terms & Conditions
1. Applicability
These Terms and Conditions apply to all registrations, participation, and associated services provided by The Art of Ballet Intensive (“AOBI”), registered in the Netherlands. By submitting an application, the participant or their legal guardian confirms full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Registration & Payment
Registration is considered final only after full payment of the applicable fees, including any selected add-ons.
An application fee of €25 is required and non-refundable under any circumstances.
All payments must be received within 30 (thirty) calendar days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Optional add-ons, such as private coaching or professional photoshoots, must be paid in advance to secure the reservation.
All payments are securely processed through Stripe B.V. and subject to their payment terms and conditions.
3. Cancellation & Credit Policy
In the event of cancellation by the participant, AOBI will issue a non-transferable credit voucher equal to the paid amount (excluding the application fee), which can be used toward a future AOBI program within 12 months of the original program start date.
Credits are only granted if cancellation is submitted in writing before the program start date via info@the-art-of-ballet-intensive.com.
Credits hold no cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for alternative services.
Upon submitting your application, you will be charged a non-refundable application fee. This fee will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.
In accordance with EU consumer protection laws, applicants have the right to cancel their enrollment within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving confirmation of admission, provided that the cancellation is submitted in writing via email to info@arteballetintensive.com.
After this 14-day withdrawal period, your enrollment becomes binding. The full tuition amount remains due, regardless of attendance or withdrawal, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the organization. Payment must be completed within thirty (30) days of enrollment, or prior to the start of the program — whichever comes first. No refunds will be given for any reason, including personal issues, illness, injury, or travel problems, after the first 14 days from submission.
4. Program Changes or Cancellation by AOBI
AOBI reserves the right to make changes to the program's content, faculty, schedule, time slots, or physical location when reasonably necessary due to logistical, artistic, or operational reasons.
Such changes do not constitute valid grounds for cancellation or refund. By enrolling, participants accept the inherent flexibility required in international dance programs.
In case of cancellation due to force majeure (such as natural disasters, war, pandemics, or governmental restrictions), participants will receive a credit voucher in line with Article 3.
In the unlikely event of full cancellation by AOBI for internal reasons (excluding force majeure), all payments excluding the application fee will be refunded in full.
5. Limitation of Liability
Participation is at the participant’s own risk. AOBI is not responsible for any personal injury, illness, medical expense, travel disruption, property damage, theft, or loss incurred during or in connection with the program.
AOBI strongly advises all participants to obtain comprehensive travel, medical, and personal liability insurance prior to attending the program.
AOBI is not liable for third-party service providers, including but not limited to transportation, accommodation, or visa processes.
6. Use of Image, Video & Likeness
By participating in AOBI, the participant (or their legal guardian if under 16) grants AOBI the irrevocable right to capture and use their likeness via photo and video for promotional, educational, and archival purposes, including but not limited to:
AOBI’s website, social media, printed brochures, and advertisements.
This includes materials taken during rehearsals, classes, photoshoots, performances, and related activities.
If a participant objects to the use of their likeness, they must notify AOBI in writing prior to the program’s start date.
Participants waive any right to compensation, royalties, or claims for damages arising from such lawful use.
7. Health, Safety & Code of Conduct
Participants must disclose any medical conditions or injuries upon registration.
The use or possession of alcohol, illicit substances, or mind-altering drugs is strictly forbidden during the program.
Participants may not attend class, rehearsal, or coaching under the influence of any such substances.
AOBI maintains a zero-tolerance policy against all forms of discrimination, racism, harassment, bullying, or exclusionary behavior.
AOBI works with a diverse and sometimes vulnerable population and strives to maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment at all times.
Any participant found to have violated this Code of Conduct may be immediately dismissed from the programwithout refund or credit, at the sole discretion of AOBI.
8. Personal Property
AOBI does not accept responsibility for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought to the program by participants.
Participants are responsible for safeguarding their own belongings at all times.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes arising from participation in AOBI will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
