Sample Schedule
A Glimpse Into the Training Week
This sample schedule offers an impression of how an Advanced training week may be structured. The final schedule may vary and can include additional classes, different faculty, rehearsals, coaching sessions, workshops or adjusted timings depending on artistic programming, level placement, and studio availability.
Daily Technique
Each day begins with focused ballet training followed by contemporary technique. Men’s technique and pointe technique are integrated within the ballet classes where appropriate.
Classical Variations & Repertoire
Classical work may be divided into separate blocks for female dancers, male dancers, pas de deux work or full repertoire sections where dancers train together.
Contemporary Technique & Repertoire
Dancers may study existing works by established choreographers or receive the unique opportunity to take part in a new creation made especially for them.
Performance Preparation
In week two, additional rehearsals and coaching moments are scheduled for all two-week participants as they prepare for the final theater presentation.
Wednesday Is Intentionally Structured as a Lighter Training Day
Midweek programming is designed to support recovery, longevity and artistic sustainability. Alongside studio training, dancers may participate in curated workshops focused on nutrition, injury prevention, mental performance, conditioning and dancer well-being.

Apply With
Intention
Admission to the ArtéBallét Advanced/Pre-Professional Program is selective and designed to ensure that each dancer enters an environment where they can be challenged, supported, and seen with genuine care.
Submit Your Application
Dancers complete the online application form and upload the required selection materials, including photos and video footage that clearly show technical level, artistic maturity, and current training capacity.
Faculty Review
Applications are reviewed with care by the ArtéBallét team. We look for dancers with a strong classical foundation, clear technical potential, artistic curiosity, and the focus required for an intensive pre-professional environment.
Acceptance & Registration
Accepted dancers receive registration instructions by email. Because the program works with intentionally limited group sizes, places are confirmed only once the required registration and payment steps have been completed.
Limited Places.
Early Application Advised.
Due to our intentionally low faculty-to-student ratio, places at ArtéBallét are strictly limited. Once maximum capacity is reached, registration may close before the official deadline.
What We Look For
The Advanced level is intended for dancers moving toward a pre-professional or professional standard. Training is refined, demanding, and deeply focused, while the atmosphere remains warm, personal, and genuinely supportive.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is selection required for the Advanced/Pre-Professional Program?
Yes. Admission to the Advanced/Pre-Professional Program is selective. Dancers are reviewed through their submitted application, photos, and video materials to ensure that the level, pace, and artistic environment are the right fit.
What level is expected?
The Advanced level is designed for advanced, pre-professional, and professional dancers training toward, or already working at, a professional standard. It is intended for dancers with a strong classical foundation, technical clarity, artistic maturity, and the focus required for an intensive training environment.
Can younger dancers apply?
The Advanced/Pre-Professional Program is generally intended for dancers aged 14/15 and above. Exceptionally strong younger dancers may be considered if their technical level, maturity, and training experience align with the program.
What selection materials are required?
Applicants are asked to submit a headshot, a first arabesque photo taken en profil, one additional dance photo of their choice, and a video showing barre, center work, and pointe work where applicable. Studio footage is perfectly suitable; clarity is more important than production quality.
Is pointe work required?
For female-identifying dancers in the Advanced Program, secure pointe work is expected and should be clearly shown in the application video. Faculty reserves the right to advise against pointe work during the program if it is deemed unsafe or not appropriate for a dancer’s development at that moment.
Can I apply for one week only?
Yes. Dancers may apply for one week or two weeks, depending on availability. However, two-week participants receive the fullest ArtéBallét experience and take part in the culminating theater presentation.
Will I perform during the program?
All two-week participants take part in the culminating theater presentation in Amsterdam. Alongside ensemble repertoire and choreographic work developed during the intensive, dancers may also have the opportunity to present classical variations, contemporary solos, or existing repertoire they have been refining outside of ArtéBallét.
How large are the Advanced groups?
Advanced groups are intentionally small and curated to preserve the level of individual attention that defines ArtéBallét. We generally admit approximately 10 to 14 dancers per Advanced group, occasionally 15 depending on the final balance and level mix.
Can my placement or group be adjusted?
Yes. Placement is carefully considered by the ArtéBallét team and may be adjusted if faculty feels another group better supports the dancer’s training, safety, and artistic development.
How do I secure my place once accepted?
After acceptance, dancers receive official enrollment instructions and payment details. A place is secured only once the required registration and payment steps have been completed. Because places are limited, early registration is strongly advised.
What happens if the program sells out before the deadline?
Because group sizes are intentionally limited, registration may close before the official application deadline once capacity has been reached. Accepted dancers are encouraged to complete registration promptly to avoid losing their place.
Where can I find tuition and payment options?
Tuition, package details, installment options, scholarships, and additional fees are available on the Tuition & Fees page.
Are private coaching, photoshoots, and physiotherapy included?
Private coaching, professional photoshoots, and physiotherapy appointments may be available by appointment, depending on package type and availability. Some services are included in selected packages, while others can be booked as add-ons.
Is housing provided?
ArtéBallét does not provide housing. Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation in Amsterdam. We recommend securing accommodation early, especially during the summer period.
