Christina Krigolson received her formal training at the Tallinn Ballet School, Estonia’s leading institution for professional ballet education, where she completed eight years of pre-professional studies. Upon graduation in 2011, she joined the Estonian National Ballet, where she danced for more than a decade until 2023.
Throughout her distinguished career, she collaborated with renowned artistic directors, choreographers, and ballet masters including Thomas Edur, Jared Matthews, Linnar Looris, José Martinez, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Siner Boquin, and Alan Land, among others. Her repertoire encompassed many of the great classics including Manon, Onegin, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, La Bayadère, Serenade, and Giselle. Among her most cherished milestones are her performances on the historic stages of the Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theatres, an honor marking the height of her performing career.
Following her early retirement in 2023, she discovered a deep passion for teaching while leading company classes at the Estonian National Opera. This revelation inspired her to establish Face the Barre, a ballet coaching platform that began with a few online classes and has since grown into a flourishing international community of dancers, both online and in person in Tallinn.
With a mission to make ballet accessible, inclusive, and meticulously taught, Christina offers adult dancers the same level of detailed and refined coaching found in professional environments. Having trained over one hundred dancers of various levels and ages, she continues to expand her teaching legacy with the upcoming opening of Face the Barre Studio in Tallinn, a new chapter that embodies her passion, artistry, and dedication to sharing ballet with the world.
