Your way into
ArtéBallét.
Admission to ArtéBallét is based on your current level and training background. Advanced / Pre-Professional dancers audition digitally, while Intermediate dancers may register directly.
For our Advanced / Pre-Professional Programs, we look for dancers with strong technical foundations, musicality, potential and individuality, artists with the curiosity, ambition and readiness to grow within one of ArtéBallét’s international programs in Europe.
Choose your route
into ArtéBallét.
Three admission routes, based on your current level and professional experience.
Advanced Program
Video Audition
Apply to ArtéBallét from anywhere in the world. Your digital audition gives our artistic team the opportunity to assess your current training and suitability for our Advanced / Pre-Professional Programs.
Each application is reviewed individually for admission to the applicable upcoming ArtéBallét program.
Intermediate Program
No audition required.
Open admission for dancers who meet the training and level requirements of the applicable Intermediate Program. No audition or video submission is required.
Register directly for the program. Admission remains subject to level suitability and availability.
Professionals & Graduates
No audition required.
Professional dancers and graduates of recognised professional dance or ballet training programs may apply directly for Advanced / Pre-Professional admission by submitting their CV.
No audition is required. Additional material may be requested where necessary before admission is confirmed.
Show us where
you are now.
You are welcome to use existing audition material. There is no need to create new photographs or record a new video specifically for ArtéBallét, as long as your material clearly meets the requirements below.
Use them. Only record or photograph new material if one of the required elements is missing or cannot be seen clearly.
Three photographs.
Existing photographs are completely acceptable. They do not need to be taken specifically for ArtéBallét, provided they are recent, clear and match the three requested images below.
Headshot
A clear and recent portrait.
First Arabesque
A clear full-body ballet photograph in first arabesque.
Dance Photograph
One dance photograph or pose of your choice.
Five technical elements.
You may submit an existing ballet audition video or record a new one. Your video does not need to be created specifically for ArtéBallét and does not need to be professionally filmed. It should simply show the required elements below clearly. If your existing video already includes them, you can submit it as it is.
Barre
A short selection demonstrating your classical technique.
Centre Adagio
Showing placement, control, coordination and line.
Pirouettes
A short centre combination demonstrating turns.
Jumps
A short allegro or jumping combination.
Execute centre en pointe
Required for female-identifying dancers who currently
train en pointe.
Submit your Advanced audition.
Existing audition material is welcome. If your photographs and video already meet the requirements above, you can submit them directly through our online audition form, no new recording is necessary.
We look at
the whole dancer.
Advanced selection goes beyond executing steps. We consider current technical readiness, musicality, individuality, artistry and potential.
Technique
Classical foundation, coordination, control and technical readiness.
Musicality
Timing, phrasing and the ability to respond clearly to music.
Artistry
Movement quality, individuality, expression and artistic curiosity.
Potential
Artistic and technical potential, adaptability and room for development.
One audition.
More than one pathway.
Each Advanced / Pre-Professional applicant is considered individually according to their current technical and artistic readiness.
Advanced / Pre-Professional Admission
Successful candidates receive an offer of admission to the relevant ArtéBallét Advanced / Pre-Professional Program.
Priority Intermediate Offer
If Intermediate is currently the stronger environment for a dancer’s development, candidates may receive priority access to an available Intermediate place without completing a separate Intermediate audition.
Subject to level suitability and availability.
