Myrna Kamara trained at the prestigious School of American Ballet before joining New York City Ballet, where she performed works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Peter Martins, and other defining choreographers of the repertoire. She later rose to Soloist with Bonn Ballet and Principal Dancer with Miami City Ballet and Béjart Ballet Lausanne, establishing a distinguished international career across some of the world’s most celebrated stages.
Today, Kamara is a highly sought-after international teacher and coach, working with leading institutions including the School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet School, and Tanz Akademie Zürich. She has also served as Jury Member and classical teacher at the prestigious Prix de Lausanne. As Founder and Artistic Director of balletXtreme, she brings an exceptional legacy of artistry, refinement, and international experience to a new generation of dancers.

A former Principal Dancer with the Compañía Nacional de Danza, Martín spent a decade working closely with Nacho Duato, becoming an important interpreter of his repertoire and collaborating with him on numerous creations. His distinguished performing career also brought him into collaboration with some of the most influential choreographers in contemporary dance, including Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Jacopo Godani, Nicolo Fonte, and Örjan Andersson.
Today, as Co-Founder and Assistant Director of the Nacho Duato Academy and Compañía Nacho Duato, Martín continues to work closely with Duato in the preservation, staging, transmission, and international development of his choreographic legacy.

Admission to the ArtéBallét Advanced/Pre-Professional Program is selective and designed to ensure that each dancer enters an environment where they can be challenged, supported, and seen with genuine care.
Submit Your Application
Dancers complete the online application form and upload the required selection materials, including photos and video footage that clearly show technical level, artistic maturity, and current training capacity.
Faculty Review
Applications are reviewed with care by the ArtéBallét team. We look for dancers with a strong classical foundation, clear technical potential, artistic curiosity, and the focus required for an intensive pre-professional environment.
Acceptance & Registration
Accepted dancers receive registration instructions by email. Because the program works with intentionally limited group sizes, places are confirmed only once the required registration and payment steps have been completed.

Due to our intentionally low faculty-to-student ratio, places at ArtéBallét are strictly limited. Once maximum capacity is reached, registration may close before the official deadline.
What We Look For
The Advanced level is intended for dancers moving toward a pre-professional or professional standard. Training is refined, demanding, and deeply focused, while the atmosphere remains warm, personal, and genuinely supportive.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is selection required for the Advanced/Pre-Professional Program?
Yes. Admission to the Advanced/Pre-Professional Program is selective. Dancers are reviewed through their submitted application, photos, and video materials to ensure that the level, pace, and artistic environment are the right fit.
What level is expected?
The Advanced level is designed for advanced, pre-professional, and professional dancers training toward, or already working at, a professional standard. It is intended for dancers with a strong classical foundation, technical clarity, artistic maturity, and the focus required for an intensive training environment.
Can younger dancers apply?
The Advanced/Pre-Professional Program is generally intended for dancers aged 14/15 and above. Exceptionally strong younger dancers may be considered if their technical level, maturity, and training experience align with the program.
What selection materials are required?
Applicants are asked to submit a headshot, a first arabesque photo taken en profil, one additional dance photo of their choice, and a video showing barre, center work, and pointe work where applicable. Studio footage is perfectly suitable; clarity is more important than production quality.
Is pointe work required?
For female-identifying dancers in the Advanced Program, secure pointe work is expected and should be clearly shown in the application video. Faculty reserves the right to advise against pointe work during the program if it is deemed unsafe or not appropriate for a dancer’s development at that moment.
Can I apply for one day only?
No. Dancers may only apply for the full four days, depending on availability.
Will I perform during the program?
All winter intensive participants take part in the culminating studio presentation in Amsterdam.
How large are the Advanced groups during Winter?
The Winter Intensive is intentionally designed as a distinct ArtéBallét experience. Advanced admission is highly selective, with each cohort carefully curated to bring together dancers of a strong and complementary artistic level. Winter groups typically welcome 15–30 dancers, allowing for the energy, exchange, and artistic depth of an international studio environment while preserving the high-level training and considered approach that define ArtéBallét. For comparison, our Summer Intensive follows a more intimate format, with approximately 10–14 dancers per group.
How do I secure my place once accepted?
After acceptance, dancers receive official enrollment instructions and payment details. A place is secured only once the required registration and payment steps have been completed. Because places are limited, early registration is strongly advised.
What happens if the program sells out before the deadline?
Because group sizes are intentionally limited, registration may close before the official application deadline once capacity has been reached. Accepted dancers are encouraged to complete registration promptly to avoid losing their place.

Is housing provided?
ArtéBallét does not provide housing. Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation in Amsterdam. We recommend securing accommodation early, especially during the christmas period.
